Morelos took to social media on Tuesday evening to apologise to the club and the supporters, but Sutton has claimed that his message came “four days late”.
The Colombian has been in impressive form on the field this season, finding the back of the net on 29 occasions in 43 appearances in all competitions, including 14 in 15 Europa League appearances.
