The midfielder joined David Moyes' team on loan with the intention of getting his career back on track after failing to break into Pep Guardiola's side since they signed him from Leeds in 2022. The 28-year-old made just four Premier League appearances for City this season before making the January transfer.
Solanke scored just two minutes and 22 seconds into the Premier League clash – the earliest goal West Ham have conceded a home Premier League since Michael Essien scored for Chelsea just 97 seconds into their September 2010 clash, according to Opta.
