Brown picked the Chelsea star over Liverpool icon Mohamed Salah as the best player in the English top flight as he spoke highly of Palmer's calmness and maturity on the pitch. Both Palmer and Salah have already hit double figures in terms of goals in the 2024-25 campaign as they have scored 11 and 13 league goals respectively.

The 22-year-old England international has been lighting up the Premier League again this season with the Blues and he recently starred with a brace in the brilliant comeback victory over Tottenham. After the game, manager Enzo Maresca praised his star player by calling him 'not normal' while ex-Liverpool star and pundit Jamie Carragher claimed that the youngster has already achieved more than Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola.

Speaking to , Brown said: "Cole Palmer is by far the best player in the Premier League this season. He just plays with absolute chilliness. It's just like he's playing with his mates, but he's taking it seriously as well. He's definitely not nervous in any game, but he's actually has got the talent and everything else to go with his demeanour. He's a pretty special player."
